Robin’s Nest Early Learning Centre is committed to providing quality care and education that encourages social, emotional, language, physical and intellectual development in a safe, secure healthy and stimulating environment. We believe every child has the right to the best start in life and that Early Childhood Education is an essential foundation for future success.
What makes us stand apart?
- We value each child as an individual with their own special needs, interests, likes and dislikes
- We acknowledge every child develops at their own rate, and believe in a holistic approach to each individual child
- We believe that children learn through play; both educators and children are actively learning from each other
Hence, it is vital the environment and interactions provide the stimulus needed for the fostering of each individual child’s development
What We Believe?
We believe that our program includes and provides for ALL children and their families and staff regardless of differences in ability, gender, culture, religion, beliefs or background.
We believe that children thrive on warm relationships between educators and their peers. Children are capable and competent people who learn through integrated learning, authentic experiences, active exploration and experimentation to understand the world around them. Providing a wide range of experiences, meaningful relationships, strong attachments and stimulating environments in an atmosphere of support and affection will maximise their learning.
Our Educators
Our educators come from a diverse background with a range of skills and abilities. They prepare a program based on all children’s special interests, ideas and needs, following the Early Years Learning Framework guidelines. It guides educators in their curriculum decision making and assists in planning, implementing and evaluating children’s learning in fostering the Five Learning Outcomes of Identity, Community, Wellbeing, Learning and Communication.
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to develop creativity, imagination, independence, decision making, problem solving and thinking skills appropriate to the age and stage of the children in our care.
The program is planned and implemented by caring and passionate early childhood professionals, trained and experienced in the development of young children and reflects the Centre Philosophy.
We believe that children develop in self-esteem, strength and character through the construction of knowledge and development of skills and confidence.
We believe that healthy children learn better. We promote the health and wellbeing of children by supporting both children and their families about the value of healthy eating habits and physical activity, thus setting the foundation for future lifestyle habits/choices.
Staff and families benefit from close harmonious and trusting interactions to provide support for each other’s role. We believe this partnership is the optimum framework for understanding individual children and planning for their needs. Communication between parents and staff is continuous and clear working together as an educational community. We promote a pastoral atmosphere working alongside each individual child and parent.
We value and respect every family’s diversity and welcome their participation and involvement in our centre programs and special events.
We believe that the community is a valuable resource for parents and children. We endeavour to assist parents in accessing available support systems in our local community. We feel incursions from the wider community in our programs are valuable to the children in extending their knowledge and understanding about the world they live in.
